| bme san, you are talking about 離して OR 放して. Both are read hanashite and can mean to set free/release/seperate. But it is said in a situation when some one is keeping you against ur will. If u were talking to your friend, and wanted to ask him to leave you alone(not so polite :p ) then use hottoite :ほっといて in the meaning of "leave me alone!".
YzN san, your question is not so clear but i will answer all the possibilities ^^; -SUSHI WO TABETAI DESU = i want to eat sushi -NIHON NI IKITAI DESU= i want to go to japan
but if you want to say I want (something)..for example "i want a car"..you need to use HOSHII. KURUMA GA HOSHII DESU. = i want a car.
I hope that answered ur question. ^^

| that answered my question, Arigatou sensei can I take it as a general rule? 1) I want to DO ...... ---> I remove masu from the verb and put tai . 2) I want to have "something" ---> I say : "something" is wanted. Using Hoshii - is Hoshii an 'i' type adj ? - I have another question : I started watching Rurouni Kenshin yesterday.... Kenshin keeps saying something like gozaryo at the end of each sentence.... What does it mean? Is it like Naruto's dattebayo ? | |

| YzN san, Yep you can take it as a general rule. And yes HOSHII is an 'i' type adjective so when you say you DON'T WANT you use HOSHIKUNAI. I wanted --> HOSHIKATTA ORO? I guess kenshin is using some type of polite speech. he ends with DE GOZARU YO..GOZARU is the dictionary form of GOZAIMASU.. These days you can hear DE GOZAIMASU as a polite way to say DESU. I hear DE GOZAIMASU alot when , for example, someone is talking to his customers in a shop or in a restaurant..remember from our play? : "menu de gozaimasu ne? shoushou omachi kudasai". omoshiroi de gozaru yo! | |

| 答えの嵐を始めましょう! : 1) ITTEKIMASU is the IKIMASU TE form ITTE + KIMASU = to come ...so it literally means I will go and come back 2) 'no' is sometimes used when asking at the end of a question in spoken japanese. The WO, and other particles, are also omitted sometimes in spoken language. So they say NANI SHITERU NO? The YO is lal ta2keed so it becomes like "WHAT THE HELL are you doing? " LOL 3) When sumanai is used, this is the NAI form of sumimasen. It is less formal/polite than sumimasen. 'suman' is very 3ammiye too. | |

| konban wa~! I did not disappear. I'm just giving myself some breaks away from PCs! Answers: *CHOTTO is not just form time. chotto kowai is correct. You can use it this way.
* What you hear is いかげん に しろ! This is used for someone who is misbehaving in the meaning of :e32al shwai, aw ishi zai hek. when someone is injured i guess it gives the meaning of: ehda, ma tet7arrak! SHIRO is a form of imperative, less polite than SHITE. (from SHIMASU).
*hmm..muzukashii shitsumon desu ne.. i'll try to give examples : Yoroshiku onegaishimasu is said when u r introduced to some one. It is also used when asking someone for a favor. EX. : "please take care of the rest" = " ato wa yoroshiku"
Doumo is used with arigatou..and also used as a greeting that means somethin near to "Hi!
For your new post, according to rikai chan "shissou" is disappearance, and "kurou" means troubles. But I can't tell wheather your usage of them like this was right or wrong, I never used these words they are new for me.
jaa mata ne! | |

| konban wa bme san! * the word you are referring to is DA GA. One of the uses of GA when it comes after DESU or a MASU is to mean "but". So informally DESU becomes DA so all becomes DA GA. I think you can roughly use them all the same. *misete morau, like "show me what you have" *"waa kirei", because u r saying like "waa kirei desu". mata ne! | |

| 10) NA here as i think is a form of 'ne' ..NA is used widely in informal male speech.
11) nihongo, dekimasu ka? --> hai, chotto desu ^^; hon elli bes2alak bikoon beddo ye3ref iza bte7ki nihongo wella la2, so we dont say 'iie mada mada desu'
12) You mean ARATA na. Same kanji as atarashii and same meaning , bas wa7de 'na' adjective w wa7de 'i' adjective. 新しい = あたらしい 新たな = あらた な

| kotae, douzo! 1) MASU form can give the meaning of 'WILL'. When some one tells you ganbatte kudasai, u reply with ganbarimasu, sa7? here it means i will do my best. There are other ways too. One way is the use of TSUMORI..but using it makes the sentence mean something like : " i plan to ...". u can use Tsumori after the dictionary form : nihon ni iku tsumori desu : I plan to go to Japan.
2) nasai us used when ordering someone who is inferior to you. FOr example a mother will use nasai with her kids, big brothers/sisters use it with young brothers /sisters. nasai is added to the MASU stem of the verb : ikinasai, tabenasai, yominasai... gohan wo tabenasai: eat your food!
3)both are correct,,the 2nd one we omit the particle WO which is comon in informal speech.
