| Day 1 : Today was AWESOME "men el 2a5er" ! Nihongo kurasu Attendance : Biraru-san, A7mado-san, Qutaibah-san, Ro2a-san, Rawando-san, muneero-san, me and my friend mhmd, anas-san and mohamado-san. "nshallah ma akoon nseet nas" we also met Tymoor sensei and Yamashita-san. Thanks for Qutaibah-san we took some pictures, we'll find a way to post them here. The festival started as schedueled at 4.00 pm with Director Makoto Shinkai's speach -he liked the food in jordan "maybe mansaf!"- followed by a little speach of a manager in the comix wave films. before the first film we watched a small vid called Egao"Smile" the music was so great! While Mr. Shinkai was making "Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho," he made this short anime clip (2min 20sec) in parallel, for NHK`s "Minna no Uta" (Everyone`s Song) program. The song Egao is sung by Hiromi Iwasaki.----------------------------------- The first film was 5 cm/sec {romance/tragedy} - Spoiler:
which is the speed of a falling sakura leaf it was so great, the drawing style is unique! the enviromental sounds and the background music make you live the scene. Tono Takaki had to part from Shinohara Akari after the graduation fromthe elementary school. Despite their secret thoughts, only time haspassed. One day, Takaki is going to see Akari in the heavy snow. This movie is a collection of three stories; the first episode, “Okasho,”shows the day of their reunion. In the next episode, “Cosmonaut,” thestory about Takaki after the reunion takes place from the viewpoint ofanother person. The last episode, “Byosoku 5 centimeter,” clips out themovements of their thoughts.----------------------------------- after a 10 min break the second film started : Makasete Iruka! (Grrl Power!) {comedy} this film was soooo hilarious, if i want to describe how would you feel when you watch it in short I'll say LOL! and ROFL! Meet Umi, Sora and Ao, the three hardest working school girls in all ofJapan. As the proprietors of the best odd-jobs service around, they`lltaken on any task and guarantee the result! Unfortauntely, spendingyour whole day doing other people`s homework and cleaning sewersdoesn`t leave much time to go to school yourself, so when the girlstake on the task of convincing someone else to go back to school, itmay prove to be their hardest job ever! have these junio Jills of alltrades finally met their match? Find out in Grrl Power!----------------------------------- The last one was : The voices of a distant star {romance/scifi/tragedy/future} when I checked anidb.net I found that this film won the best animation award and the best quick watch award for 2002. Hoshi no Koe ~The Voices of a Distant Stars~, uses full 2D and 3D digital animation, is a story of a long distance love and mail messages between a boy and girl. Set in 2046 after the discovery of the ruins of an alien civilization on Mars, man has been able to make leaps in technology and is planning to send an expedition into space in the next year. Nagamine Mikako and Terao Noboru are junior high school students. However, while Noboru will be entering senior high next winter, Mikako is selected to join the space expedition.
{EDITED} 1)fixed the pics and added anas-san "sorry I forgot to write your name" 2) I also added Egao

| Day 2 : Attendance : Biraru-san, Ro2a-san, Rawando-san, anas-san and me. Shinkai-san didn't come today because he was busy in the workshop ....but Yamashita-san was there and we spoke with him today "3ala rawa2" " kol t25eere feeha 5eere"... today the show started 10 min after the schedueled time to allow more people to catch up from the begining, as a result we were able to watch the "making of" 5cm/sec pictures, we were " " ,all the places that are in the anime exist in reality ! the first film was kakurenbo {demons/horror/scifi} There is a street where no one lives, where ghostly lights flicker in the shadows. It is whispered that children who play hide-and-seek there after dark are kidnapped by demons…and disappear forever. Tonight, a boy named Hikora joins the game in search of his missing sister. Eight children gather. The street lamps flare though no one is there to light them. The game... and the terror... are about to begin!
----------------------------------- the second movie was "The place promised in our early days" {scifi} this film won the animation grand award and the best story award! In an alternate history of the aftermath of World War II, Japan has been cleaved in half, with the south—Honshu and the other islands—allied with the United States and the northern island Hokkaido annexed by the enigmatic Union. It was on Hokkaido that a mysterious tower had been built, a strand of metal reaching up out of the atmosphere, visible from the northern tip of Honshu. In 1996, three teenagers, Hiroki, Takuya and Sayuri, make a pact—they will build an experimental aircraft, almost invisible to surveillance, cross over to Hokkaido and unlock the secrets of the tower. Their dream was never realized, because Sayuri was sent to Tokyo for treatment after she fell into a coma. It is now three years later. The rosy illusions of youth have fallen away, but not the unbreakable strength of the trio’s promise. The truth of the tower will be uncovered, and with it, the link between it and Sayuri’s mysterious, carefully tended condition.
